Taste of the Crikey Files

Hello All: Here is a really fun, really easy recipe that you can do either by yourself or with that special someone......I am looking forward to Mike and I trying this one out together! Let us know how it goes for you.

Dirt Dessert
(I know it sounds weird but it is awesome!) It is great for picnics, barbecues, get togethers or family gatherings! If you love chocolate you will love this one! Note: Making this dessert may be a bit messy but its so much fun! (The gummy worms are optional.)

20 ounces crushed Oreo's (if you do not care for chocolate oreo's a good substitution is vanilla oreo's....continue to follow the recipe.....the vanilla recipe is called Sand....instead of using a flower box....try a sand box for the vanilla recipe!)
12 ounces Cool Whip
8 ounces cream cheese
4 ounce box vanilla pudding
3 1/2 cups milk
1 cup powdered sugar
1/4 cup butter or margarine

PREPARATION: Cream butter, cream cheese, sugar all together- set aside. Mix pudding and milk together and then add cool whip (use large bowl). Add cream cheese, mix. Fill in a flower pot, starting with pudding mixture, cookie crumbs, worms. End with cookie crumbs so it looks like dirt in the pot. (you are actually making layers...all the way up to the top) Refrigerate 1 or 2 hours. Insert some plastic flowers, if desired, so it looks like the flowers are growing in the pot. Top off with gummi worms. ENJOY!!!!!!
